This guy & I have quite a bond. Inspired by a petrolgyph image from Wyoming, actually I only did one painting of this piece; then had a limited edition reproduction made. Several years later I was asked by my very talented twin nephews (of Warren Miller Extreme Skiing film "50" fame :) to frame one rightside up & one upside down as a gift. Upon meeting this request I found, much to my surprise, the images are joined. Yin & Yang. Light and Dark. Sorrow and Joy.
The archetype of Trickster can teach us much. Among other things, he teaches
me faith. His message of balance is a gift. After 12 years of painting, (s)he teaches me still. |
